Mai Chau – Pu Luong – Cuc Phuong National Park

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Pu Luong. (L, D) 180km

07:45 – 08:15 = Pick-up at Hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter.

10:00 = Short break in Luong Son (Outside of Hanoi).

11:45 = Visit a local market of the Muong Ethnic Minority to learn about their daily life and customs; enjoy the beautiful scenery of Thung Khe Pass (One of the 10 most beautiful passes in Vietnam).

12:30 = Arrive in Mai Chau Valley for lunch. (Vegetarian is available).

13:30 – 15:30 = Visit the real local Thai traditional Stilt House before cycling to visit villages of the Thai Ethnic Minority and learn about their daily life and culture. Stop by the handcraft village to learn about weaving in their traditional way and support them by buying their local products.

16:00 = Board the van to go to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. (45km away from main tourist Lac Village).

17:00 – 19:00 = Check-in to your Homestay – Free time for walking around the village or have a shower.

19:00 = Dinner at the Homestay and enjoy some homemade rice wine with the family.

Day 2: Pu Luong – Ninh Binh. (B, L, D) 160km

 07:30 – 08:30 = Breakfast at the Homestay.

08:30 – 12:00 = Tour guide leads you on the trek to visit the beautiful Kho Muong Village and Cave. A village hidden deep in the Reserve’s mountain range. Explore the huge limestone Karst Cave with giant stalagmites. (Distance trek about 7.5km).

12:30 = Check-out and have lunch.

14:00 = Board the van to go to Mai Chau to transfer to Ninh Binh.

17:00 = Arrive in Ninh Binh Retreat. Check-in your room and have free time.

19:00 = Dinner at the Retreat.

Day 3: Ninh Binh – Cuc Phuong National Park – Ha Noi. (B, L)

 07:30 = Breakfast at the Retreat.

08:30 = Check-out and depart for Cuc Phuong National Park by car.

10:00 = Arrive in Cuc Phuong National Park Center. Start trekking in the rain forest, and visit the 1000 years old tree. (Hard Trek: 6km)

12:30 = Get in the car to drive back to the entrance for lunch at the park’s restaurant.

13:30 = Visit the endangered Primate Rescue Center to learn about many endangered species guided by the park’s specialist guide.

15:00 -16:00 = Get in the car and go back to the Retreat and gather your belongings before boarding the bus to go back to Hanoi.

18:00 = Arrive in Hanoi Old Quarter, drop you off at your Hotel.
